The Oath
A 30-second video of you, in your own voice. It opens your public record.
What to say
I'm . I'm running for . I answered every question in my Top 10 myself. No staff. Fill it all out, or don't run.
How to film it
- Stand outside the building of the office you want, on the sidewalk. For example, the state capitol for a state office, or city hall for city council.
- Hold your phone at eye level, with the building behind you.
- One take, about 30 seconds. Watch it back before you use it.
Answer every question, on camera
Open your Top 10 and start your recorded session. Your camera records while you answer, and every answer is logged with the time. No staffer may answer for you. Block one hour.
Your record is public
Every answer, The Oath and your session, in one place.
